It is often said that the character of an institution is shaped by those who dedicate themselves to its mission. And with its world-class students, staff, faculty and donors, Weill Cornell Medicine is clearly exceptional. Each day, I hear of many inspiring moments in the research lab, in the classroom or at the patient’s bedside, and in each of these instances, I am so inspired by the commitment and dedication of those in our community. I am excited to work together with all of you as we embark on this next chapter.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of our amazing Belfer Research Building, which sparked exponential growth in our research enterprise and across our institution over the past decade. This is thanks, in great part, to the visionary philanthropy from our donors, alumni and friends, who are committed to supporting our critical efforts. As we look toward the future and our continued expansion in each part of our mission, it is so important to pause and reflect upon all those who have helped bring us to this moment.
