Industry-leading vaccinologist and new chair of the Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Sallie Permar, will discuss how scientists design and test vaccines that are safe and effective for children. Children’s Health Council members and faculty gathered virtually to hear updates on Council activities and highlights from the investigators who receive Council support. During the event, the Children’s Health Council honored Dr. Gerald Loughlin as he stepped down from his role of Chair of the Department of Pediatrics after 18 years of service.
